Role Summary
We are looking for a strategic, growth-oriented, and client-focused Business Development Manager with 3-7 years of experience to drive IT Geeks’ growth by acquiring new clients, managing the sales pipeline, and leading a team of Senior BDEs/BDEs. The BDM will be the bridge between prospective clients and our internal teams, ensuring that opportunities are converted into successful, profitable engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end business development process, from lead generation (outbound and inbound) to deal closure, ensuring consistent revenue growth for IT Geeks.
Identify and pursue new opportunities in the Shopify/eCommerce space, with a focus on acquiring and closing high-value projects that drive profitability and long-term growth.
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and pricing negotiations that align with client needs and IT Geeks’ offerings.
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, including Senior BDEs and BDEs, assigning targets, tracking performance, and providing coaching for continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers and internal teams to ensure smooth handoff and successful delivery of projects.
Leverage CRM data, market trends, and client feedback to provide accurate forecasts, refine sales strategies, and identify new growth opportunities.
Contribute to process improvements within the sales team, suggesting new approaches, tools, or workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Build and nurture long-term client relationships while working closely with top management to align sales strategies with company goals, driving both retention and sustainable revenue growth.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
3–7 years of proven experience in solution selling, software sales, or international sales within the tech/E-commerce domain, with a strong record of managing and closing high-value projects for global clients.
Experience managing and mentoring a team of sales professionals, setting targets, tracking performance, and ensuring accountability in closing high-ticket deals.
Strong knowledge of Shopify and Shopify Plus ecosystems, E-commerce platforms, and digital business models.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for engaging with C-level executives and key stakeholders.
Ability to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with market trends and company growth objectives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
Proficiency in CRM tools such as Zoho or similar platforms for effective pipeline management, reporting, and sales tracking.
